Surreal and bizarre come together as a rebellious rapper, Gandu, embarks on a drug-fueled rampage with a rickshaw puller on the streets of Kolkata, rapping away to hate, anger, dirt and filth of his existence. Breaking new ground in filmmaking technique and creating a massive uproar around the world for its narrative and stylistic anarchy, Q’s Gandu premiered at Berlinale and has been to more than 60 film festivals worldwide, winning top honors at SAIFF and Seattle, with screenings at Slamdance, Singapore, Durban and Amsterdam. Although Gandu was banned from releasing in India, it saw millions of illegal downloads, becoming an indie cult phenomenon overnight.
